The Colombian Student Association (COLSA) is pleased to announce its annual cultural event, the Colombian Night, to be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2022, and would like to cordially invite you to join us celebrate its 21st edition. This year’s event, entitled “Land of Encanto” will center on the cultural and ethnic diversity across the 5 regions of Colombia: Andean, Caribbean, Pacific, Amazon, and the Colombian Plains.

The Colombian Night was conceived as a way to recognize and promote the long-standing tradition of international awareness and cultural diversity at the University of Oklahoma, by showcasing popular folklore dances from South America, helping others become familiar with Colombian food, costumes, culture, and the diversity of its ethnic groups. Throughout the years, the Colombian Night has become one of the most prestigious and recognized cultural events across campus and the surrounding communities, gathering hundreds of attendees from the Norman and Oklahoma City regions, as well as from surrounding cities and states.
In addition to sharing and promoting cultural diversity, one of the main goals of this event is to fundraise for COLSA’s scholarship program, which, since 2001, has awarded more than 175 scholarships for a total of more than $196,000 dollars. This would have not been possible without the support of the amazing OU community and sponsors throughout all these years, which have made this event a success. This year, we hope that we can count on your support to make this event possible once again.
You can provide us financial support by donating or by becoming an official sponsor for the event. Any donation amount is welcome, and $30+ donations will receive a complementary ticket. If you or your organization would like to become an official sponsor for the event, all sponsors will receive VIP tickets, along with an acknowledgment in the event program and having their logo displayed throughout the event.
